Description
The Indian variant (now delta) of COVID, the one that is holding the United Kingdom hostage with the postponement of the reopening to July 19) begins to frighten the whole of Europe even if the Italian virologists, and our government, claim that the situation in Italy is under control.
But what are the symptoms of this variant of the coronavirus?
Headache, sore throat and runny nose: these are the main ailments that affect people infected with the Delta variant. This was stated, as reported by BBC and Huffingtonpost, by Professor Tim Spector, who leads the project called Zoe Covid Symptom, created to collect the symptoms described by thousands of virus positives through an APP. The most common symptoms encountered so far in coronavirus patients had been cough, fever, loss of smell and taste.
Cough, cold, fever, muscle aches, diarrhea, fatigue and exhaustion remain disorders also linked to the Delta variant which, however, Spector stressed, inviting people to pay particular attention, at first “could be mistaken for a bad cold”.
According to the professor, in fact, the initial symptoms could lead people affected by the variant to underestimate their condition and not to take the necessary measures to prevent contagion: “We think this is fueling a large part of the problem”, the scientist specified.
